Our Story

Larry Phillips and Robert Orfield had a dream of creating a work environment that made the employee one of the most important aspects of a company. In doing so, the goal was to treat each employee as family and provide an opportunity to develop a retirement savings program that maximized that goal. In response to that dream, the Lord Blessed us to open the doors of LSSI in February 2002 as a single person corporation. Eighteen months later, Robert was added to the company roles and he has helped shape LSSI to be the company that it is today of just over 50 employees. LSSI has never been specifically about growing the company numbers as much as maintaining the family style environment while maximizing our retirement. We also strive to have the highest quality and most excellent employees available to provide the services to our customers. Our goal is to have an employee who exhibits initiative, loyalty to their customer and our company, ethics above reproach, and that positive attitude that makes you a joy to be around while providing top notch technical assistance in the endeavors they support.

LSSI’s core business activity is providing information technology and communications support as well as supporting interoperability testing to a wide range of US Department of Defense customers. Core competencies with respect to Tactical and Strategic Data Links include: System Engineering/Integration, Training, MIL-STD testing, Field Engineering Support, and Modeling and Simulation.
